1977 - First series for Tony after Vision On. Tony's first real chance to go it alone and what a huge success it was too.

Tony had by now gained international fame through Vision On and the BBC felt there was scope for Tony to have his own programme, proceedings broken up by the newly arrived 'Morph' and appearances from Wilf Lunn (what a bizarre choice in friends Tony had!).

Later came Mr Bennett (Colin Bennett actually) who would generally come in to complain about Tony's wild parties or some such thing and generally make a nuisance of himself.

Tony's popularity with viewers carried Take Hart right through to 1984 and earned the series a Bafta award. 'Hart Beat' followed.
