Hi Tony
I watched your shows every week on the BBC when i was younger and loved every minute. You had such a graceful approach and looked like you had such fun in everything you done.
Do you think that being on a kids TV show made people think less of you as a artist or do you think it made little difference?
I sent a picture into the gallery of a scarecrow in a field with a tear in his eye, quite dark for a 11 year i sure it was shown but can not remember!

Hmmm, good point Dave. I've never given it much thought as to whether the TV work has made me more or less of an artist. I suppose it has limited me to some extent as much of it had to be done very fast but on the other hand everyone seems to know me so that can't be bad. No, I wouldn't change anything with so many friends...

What an inspiration you are to all budding artists. I remember you in the 60s - you drew me a picture of Paki the Elephant. We met with Jo Baker many years ago and have happy memories. I remember seeing you on through the keyhole and you mentioning that you where in the ghurka's. I told my mates this 2 weeks ago & they steadfastly refused to beleive it, betting me £20 that you were never a ghurka. So cheers
